SUFFOLK SHERIFF’S OFFICE RELEASES VIDEO OF HISTORICAL ACCOUNTS OF SEPTEMBER 11

The 20 minute documentary features Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr., members of the Sheriff’s Office Executive Staff, and officers who responded to the World Trade Center while serving with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, the New York City Police Department, the New York City Department of Correction and volunteer fire departments.

“We will never forget the 2,977 lives lost on that tragic day, and we have a responsibility to honor their memory by keeping their stories alive. For generations to come, September 11 will be known primarily as a moment in history. It is our responsibility to make sure they understand not only what happened that day, but who we lost, who stepped forward, and the extraordinary courage and sacrifice that followed. Twenty five years later, we continue to pay our respects and vow to carry their stories forward,” said Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr.
