Suffolk County Honored Fallen Correction Officers & Deputy Sheriffs at Annual Memorial Service

On Thursday, May 23rd, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office joined with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s P.B.A. and Suffolk County Correction Officers Association to honor Suffolk County’s Correction Officers and Deputy Sheriffs who have died in service.

The ceremony was attended by the family members of deceased officers, law enforcement officers, and civilian personnel, along with county officials including County Executive Steve Bellone. This memorial service included Invocation by Suffolk County Sheriff’s Lead Chaplain, Father Joseph D’Angelo, a gun salute by the S.C.S.O Honor Guard as well as the placement of roses by the Sheriff’s Office monument in memorial to those who served, by their family members.

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr., gave the Memorial Address and NY State Senator Monica Martinez was this year’s Master of Ceremonies.
