The Riverhead drive-thru testing site is located at:

Mobile Testing Site: The Suffolk County Department of Health is now allowing individuals to make appointments for the Suffolk County mobile coronavirus testing site. Suffolk County residents who want to make an appointment can call now and be triaged by a nurse. To make an appointment, call the NYS Coronavirus Hotline at 1-888-364-3065.

You may also make a request online. Click here.

Not everyone who attempts to make an appointment at the mobile center will get tested. There are criteria. Anyone inquiring will be asked a series of questions by a nurse or online via the form to determine if a test is appropriate. After basic information is gathered, the information is sent to the Suffolk County Department of Health to determine if a person can get tested. If a test is warranted, an appointment at a testing site will be scheduled for you.

The Suffolk Mobile Coronavirus Testing Site is operating at Stony Brook University in the South Parking Lot, and is BY APPOINTMENT only.

How can I get my COVID-19 test results?

If you were tested at the mobile site at Stony Brook University, you will be notified by the New York State Department of Health. You may also access your results directly.

Doctor’s Office: Besides the Mobile Testing locations, some doctor’s offices can give the test. If you are symptomatic or meet the criteria based on travel or contact with a person who tested positive for the virus, call your doctor. If he/she feels testing is warranted, he/she may be able to give the test in the office and send it out to the lab. If your doctor cannot give the test, he/she may be able to direct you to an office where the test can be given.

After an individual is tested, it can take two to three days or longer for results.

Remember, call first! Appointments are mandatory at the mobile testing sites.
