10/24/19: At approximately 10:21 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Zane Sellis, 54, of Jericho, NY, for resisting arrest. While deputies were attempting to conduct a lawful eviction in Bay Shore, NY, Mr. Sellis used foul and abusive language toward the deputies in a public place causing annoyance and alarm to others present. During the interaction, Mr. Sellis became belligerent and aggressive towards the deputies. Deputies attempted to place him under arrest, at which time he held his arms in front of his body with his hands clenched and refused to be handcuffed. The defendant was arrested for resisting arrest, harassment in the 2nd degree, and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree. He was transported to Sheriff’s Office Station 1 in Riverhead for processing.
