Arrest: Possession of Crack Cocaine, Heroin, and Hypodermic Needles/ Active Warrant for Loitering

10/12/19: At approximately 2:50 PM, Ashley Bontemps, 23, of Amityville, NY, attempted to enter the Riverhead Correctional Facility as a passenger in a vehicle. A check of DMV records revealed that she had an active warrant out of 1st District Court for Loitering in the 1st Degree. Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ms. Bontemps pursuant to the active warrant. She was searched and found to be in possession of heroin, crack cocaine, and three hypodermic needles. Ms. Bontemps was subsequently charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
