Arrest: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration/ Agg. Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle
01/03/20: At approximately 2:47 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Victoria Schimierer, 33, of Ronkonkoma, NY, for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Ms. Schimierer was traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway at a speed of approximately 89 MPH, exceeding the posted 55 MPH speed limit. A DMV computer check revealed that Ms. Schimierer’s driver’s license was suspended one time on 09/25/19 due to insurance not being in effect. Further inspection revealed that in addition to there being no insurance in effect for said vehicle, the vehicle’s registration was also suspended a total of two times, the last due to insurance not being in effect. Ms. Schimierer was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, failure to surrender license plates, operating a vehicle without financial security, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.
