Arrest: Felony Driving While Intoxicated

11/01/19: At approximately 8:45 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Matthew Crowley, 39, of East Patchogue, NY, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) due to one prior DWI arrest. Mr. Crowley failed to signal a right turn at the intersection of Dovecote Lane and Suffolk Avenue and was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Mr. Crowley refused to perform all standardized field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a prescreening breath test. He was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Duty Office for processing. Mr. Crowley refused to submit to a chemical breath test at the Duty Office. Mr. Crowley was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to a chemical breath test, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the first degree, and vehicle and traffic law violations.
