Arrest: Driving While Intoxicated (Two Prior Convictions)
11/18/19: At approximately 3:01 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Darnell Anderson, 33, of Central Islip, NY, for driving while intoxicated (DWI). Mr. Anderson was observed on Route 111 in Hauppauge, NY, where he exceeding the posted speed limit. The defendant demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating he was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Station one for processing. He refused to submit to a chemical breath test. Mr. Smith had two prior DWI convictions. He was charged with driving while intoxicated with two prior convictions, refusing to submit to a chemical breath test, circumventing an interlock device, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the 3rd degree.
