Arrest: Driving While Intoxicated
11/03/19: At approximately 1:57 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Michael Frechette, 21, of Medford, NY, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) on County Road 101 in Brookhaven, NY. Mr. Frechette was stopped after he was observed exceeding the posted 45 MPH speed limit by travelling 75 MPH and failing to maintain his lane of travel. The defendant demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating he was intoxicated. Mr. Frechette was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Station 17 in Yaphank for processing. He consented to a chemical breath test resulting in a .11% blood alcohol content (BAC). He was also charged with speeding and failure to maintain a lane of travel.
