Arrest: Driving While Intoxicated/ Two Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

11/02/19: At approximately 2:22 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Miguelina Rodriguez, 32, of Central Islip, NY, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. Ms. Rodriguez was observed driving on Thorne St. in Patchogue when she failed to signal a right hand turn onto North Ocean Ave. The defendant demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating she was intoxicated. She was also found to be in possession of cocaine and concentrated cannabis. Ms. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Enforcement Bureau in Yaphank. She submitted to a chemical breath test resulting in .11 BAC. Ms. Rodriguez was charged with driving while intoxicated and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
