Arrest: Driver with NYS Learner's Permit Suspended 5 Times
11/28/19: At approximately 9:02 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kamar Harris, 23, of Wyandanch, NY, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree. Mr. Harris was attempting to enter the Riverhead County Correctional Facility Security Booth Checkpoint for the purposes of visiting an inmate while using an expired NYS learner’s permit while there were no other validly licensed operators in the vehicle. A DMV computer check revealed that her NYS learner’s permit was suspended a total of 5 times. She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the 3rd degree and failure to surrender her expired/suspended learner’s permit.
