Arrest: Displaying a Forged Inspection Sticker/ Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Inspection
02/04/20: At approximately 11:24 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Frederick Hubbard, 35, of Shirley, NY, for displaying a forged inspection certificate without an inspection. Mr. Hubbard was traveling on Peeker Ave. in Mastic Beach, NY, when he turned onto Mastic Beach Rd. without signaling. After stopping Mr. Hubbard, the Deputy Sheriff discovered a fictitious inspection sticker attached to the vehicle’s windshield displaying an expiration date of December 2020. A computer check of DMV records confirmed that the vehicle was last inspected in August of 2017. The fictitious inspection sticker was confiscated from the vehicle’s windshield and Mr. Hubbard was charged with displaying a forged inspection certificate and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection.
