Arrest: Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree
01/09/20: At approximately 5:01PM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cassandra Lehman, 30, of Middle Island, NY, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree. Ms. Lehman was attempting to enter the Yaphank Correctional Facility Security Booth checkpoint to visit an inmate. She parked in the Foley Building parking lot and walked up to the booth where she presented a NYS ID. A DMV computer check revealed that her NYS driver’s license was suspended a total of 3 times, the last being for failure to pay a fine. She was allowed access to the correctional facility, and upon exiting the building she walked to her vehicle and pulled away where the deputy initiated a traffic stop. She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the 3rd degree.
