9/27/19: At approximately 12:43 PM, during a traffic stop, Sheriff’s Deputies discovered 150 flavored vape cartridges containing THC and approximately two and a half pounds of marijuana in 5 vacuum sealed bags in the trunk. The motorist, Sean Bell, 26, of Patchogue, NY, was operating a 2007 BMW on the center median partially blocking the left travel lane on Sunrise Highway near Exit 57/58 in Brookhaven. Further investigation revealed that the motorist was in violation of driving the vehicle without an interlock device and his license had been suspended six times on six dates. Mr. Bell was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th, criminal possession of marijuana in the 2nd, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the 2nd, and driving with an Interlock device. He was transported to Sheriffs Headquarters for processing.
