Captain Robert Behrle

Robert J. Behrle was promoted to Deputy Sheriff Captain in 2014. He has more than 27 years of law enforcement experience with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office and outside police agencies.

 

After graduating the police academy as a Deputy Sheriff in 1993, he rose through the ranks working in a wide variety of commands including the Enforcement Bureau, Headquarters Bureau, and as Commanding Officer of the Highway Enforcement Section, Enforcement Bureau, Quartermaster Bureau, and the First District Court Bureau. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2002, Investigator Sergeant in 2007, and Lieutenant in 2010.

 

Captain Behrle holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Suffolk County Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from the New York Institute of Technology. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Science program at Saint Leo University.
